YouTube Teams Up with Amazon as Nestlé Unloads Vitamin Portfolio
YouTube has partnered with Amazon to boost its online shopping bet. The partnership will allow users to purchase products directly from videos and creators' channels, making it easier for viewers to shop from their favorite influencers. This move is a significant step forward in the e-commerce space, as YouTube continues to expand its offerings beyond traditional video content.
The partnership with Amazon will enable seamless checkout and shipping, eliminating the need for users to navigate multiple websites or apps. This integration will also provide creators with more opportunities to monetize their content through affiliate marketing and sponsored products.
Nestlé has announced that it will sell its vitamin portfolio, including Nature’s Bounty, Ester-C, and Gard, as well as its private-label supplement business, for $1 billion to Yellow Wood. This deal is part of Nestlé's effort to deleverage its business and focus on other areas.
