Zachary Rotary Club Tours Coca-Cola UNITED Baton Rouge Facility

Zachary Rotary Club members recently had the chance to visit the Coca-Cola UNITED Baton Rouge facility on Plank Road. The tour gave them a firsthand look at the operation behind one of the world's most recognizable brands.

The facility is an impressive sight, with over 800 plastic bottles filled and capped per minute, and more than 2,200 aluminum cans filled per minute. The plant can distribute approximately 8,700 cases per hour, making it a major hub for Coca-Cola products in the area.

Coca-Cola UNITED employs over 600 people in the Baton Rouge area and serves more than 8,000 customers locally. Nationally, Coca-Cola products are served in over 200 countries, with approximately 800 million servings each day.
