Zayo and Nvidia Unleash 8,000 Miles of New Fibre Routes for North America's AI Sector
Zayo and Nvidia are teaming up to expand AI network capacity across North America through over 8,000 miles of new fibre routes.
The digital infrastructure provider will target some of the fastest-growing AI corridors with these new routes, while also upgrading its existing network to increase capacity.
This investment aims to address a growing challenge for the AI sector: ensuring connectivity can keep pace with demand from AI factories, GPU clusters, and distributed computing environments.
Zayo CEO Steve Smith said that AI is reshaping where and how network infrastructure needs to be built across the US, and the company has invested in modelling where AI-driven demand will emerge.
The expansion includes six new long-haul routes across emerging AI markets, alongside capacity upgrades in 10 high-demand locations. Nvidia added that this partnership will help create the connectivity foundation required for future AI growth.
