Zero Sugar Packaging Change Sparks Backlash Among Aussies
Coca-Cola has made a change to its Zero Sugar packaging that's left some customers feeling deceived.
The original version of Zero Sugar had a distinctive black logo writing, but it's now been switched to white, matching the classic Coca-Cola branding.
Aussies have taken to social media to express their disappointment and frustration with the change, claiming it's harder to tell the two versions apart.
Jade Morris was one of the first to spot the change in stores and slammed the brand on TikTok, asking 'What the hell is this?' and accusing the company of 'trickery' for not making it clear that Zero Sugar had been reformulated.
Coca-Cola responded by saying they've taken care to ensure both Classic and Zero Sugar remain differentiated, citing three key design features: larger text on pack, a prominent black Dynamic Ribbon on cans, and a black bottle cap on bottles. However, some customers argue these changes aren't enough to make the two versions easily distinguishable.
