Walt Disney Animation Studios' Zootopia 2 has achieved an unprecedented milestone at the global box office, reaching $1 billion in just 17 days. This remarkable achievement makes it the fastest-ever billion-dollar earner among all animated MPA releases and all PG-rated films. The film's success follows Disney's Lilo & Stitch as the second film of 2025 to hit the $1 billion mark.

Zootopia 2 has secured a historic back-to-back billion-dollar success for Walt Disney Animation Studios, following Moana 2 last year. The studio now proudly claims five billion-dollar titles since 2013: Frozen, Frozen 2, Moana 2, Zootopia, and now Zootopia 2.

The animated film box office has seen significant growth, with Inside Out 2 amassing a staggering $1.69 billion worldwide since its June 14 debut, making it the highest-grossing animated film of 2024. Both Inside Out 2 and Moana 2 have joined the elite group, surpassing the billion-dollar mark alongside 56 other films.
