$1.22B Pipeline Expansion Push Targets Florida's Growing Gas Constraints
Florida's natural gas constraints are driving a massive pipeline expansion push, with Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) filing a $1.22 billion application to build its Phase 9 Expansion Project.
The project aims to alleviate growing pipeline bottlenecks in the Sunshine State by adding 526,750 million British thermal units per day (MMBtu/d) of capacity.
Florida relies heavily on natural gas generation, and the pipeline expansion is expected to help address regional supply constraints.
