Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund has lifted restrictions on fresh lump-sum subscriptions and switch-in applications in its Gold Fund, effective August 13, 2026. The fund house had earlier capped lump-sum subscriptions at Rs 10 lakh per PAN per calendar month due to strong demand for gold schemes and elevated gold prices in June.

The move removes the Rs 10 lakh monthly limit that was imposed on the scheme. This restriction was put in place along with other fund houses, including Axis Mutual Fund, Tata Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Nippon India Mutual Fund, and Kotak Mutual Fund.

The Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC had announced the recommencement of fresh lump-sum subscriptions and switch-in applications in a Notice-cum-Addendum dated August 12. The change allows investors to make fresh lump-sum investments and switch into the Gold Fund without the earlier Rs 10 lakh-per-PAN monthly ceiling.
