Alberta Separatists Unfazed by Pipeline Announcement

The Alberta separatist movement shows no signs of slowing down despite Premier Danielle Smith's claims that a new oil pipeline to the BC coast will strengthen ties between the province and Canada.

Cory Morgan, an online political commentator and organizer behind the Pathway to Independence group, said the pipeline announcement doesn't change the system for those pushing for independence. 'This doesn't change the system whatsoever,' he stated in an interview.

Morgan's group is one of several separatist organizations that are advocating for Alberta to leave Canada. They argue that the province should have control over its natural resources and not rely on federal approval to access markets.

Keith Wilson, co-leader of Let Alberta Decide, echoed this sentiment, saying that the pipeline project has taken too much time and political capital just to get Alberta's resources to market.
