Apollo Silver Soars as Silver Prices Hit New Heights
Silver prices have been rising in recent times, and investors are looking for ways to leverage this trend. One company that's caught their attention is Apollo Silver (TSXV:APGO), a small explorer listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Apollo has had a busy year, with several developments that have moved its shares and put it on watchlists. In January, it closed the first tranche of an upsized private placement, raising C$15 million through three million units at C$5.00 each. The company also began a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) on its flagship Calico project in California in March.
Calico is one of the largest undeveloped primary silver deposits in the United States, with measured and indicated resources at 125 million ounces of silver in 55 million tonnes grading 71 grams per tonne. The company also holds barite and zinc credits on this property, which are classified as critical minerals by Washington.
Apollo's CEO, Ross McElroy, leads the team and has been instrumental in advancing the project. While the company has no production, revenue, or earnings yet, its net loss of C$15 million is normal for an explorer. The figures that matter sit on the balance sheet and in the ground.
