Arabian Drilling Expands into Oman with New Offshore Contract
Saudi Arabia's Arabian Drilling Company has expanded its operations into Oman by securing a new offshore drilling contract. The deal covers up to four wells and is expected to contribute to the company's financial results in 2026, strengthening its backlog and future revenue visibility.
The contract was signed with Masirah Oil Limited and Northern Offshore Ltd for two firm wells plus two optional wells. Operations are set to begin before the end of the third quarter of 2026, providing a boost to Oman's Block 50.
Yumna oil field, located within Block 50, has seen its production decline in recent months, averaging around 742 barrels per day in March 2026 compared to 854 bpd in January. Masirah Oil is working to sustain Yumna's production and increase recovery from the field through additional development drilling.
For Arabian Drilling, this contract represents another step towards building a broader regional business presence. CEO Fahad Albani stated that the company remains focused on delivering sustainable growth and supporting the evolving needs of the energy sector across the region.
