Aramco's Q2 Earnings Soar on Higher Oil Prices Amid Geopolitical Tensions
Saudi Arabian oil giant Aramco posted a sharp increase in its second-quarter earnings, driven by higher crude prices and resilient operations despite ongoing geopolitical tensions.
The state-owned company reported an adjusted net income of 125.2 billion Saudi riyals ($33.4 billion) for the April-to-June period, representing a 33% increase from the same quarter last year.
Aramco's strong financial performance comes as major oil companies continue to benefit from higher crude prices driven by the prolonged conflict involving the United States and Iran.
The company has continued to rely on its East-West Pipeline, which transports crude oil to terminals on the Red Sea, to sustain exports at a maximum capacity of 7 million barrels per day, reducing its dependence on the strategically sensitive waterway.
