Asian Markets Follow US Rally as Oil Prices Ease
Asian shares mostly rose in early trading on Friday, boosted by a rally on Wall Street and declining oil prices.
The Bank of Japan's two-day monetary policy meeting ended without any interest rate changes, but the market was already looking to the US market for direction.
Japan's Nikkei 225 gained 0.8% to 64,662.11, while South Korea's Kospi jumped 2.1% to 6,856.35.
The price of Brent crude oil fell 0.68% to $104.11 a barrel, contributing to the positive sentiment on Wall Street and in Asia.
