The Australian share market is expected to start the week on a weak note due to rising bond yields and elevated oil prices. The S&P/ASX 200 index is forecasted to fall by 57 points, or 0.7%, at Monday's open, taking it towards the three-month low of 8,674 points reached last Tuesday.

The ASX 200 finished Friday at 8,731.20, down just 1.20 points for the session but 0.17% across the week. It was the benchmark’s third consecutive weekly decline.

Energy producers such as Woodside Energy Group Ltd and Santos Ltd may face pressure following another decline in crude prices. However, gold companies could receive some support after the precious metal advanced on Friday.
