BAJUS Boosts 22-Carat Gold Price by BDT 1,050 in Bangladesh
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has raised the price of 22-carat gold by BDT 1,050 per bhori to BDT 232,930, including VAT. This change took effect at 10 am on Saturday morning, as announced in a notice issued by the association.
The new prices are based on local market conditions and were adjusted after reviewing overall market trends. The prices for other types of gold also saw increases: 21-carat gold is now set at BDT 222,491 per bhori, while 18-carat and traditional-method gold reached BDT 191,056 and BDT 156,064 respectively.
The association noted that labour charges will be added separately depending on the design and craftsmanship of the jewellery. It will also decide later on VAT for silver jewellery.
