Gold prices in Bangalore rose on August 17, with 24K gold reaching ₹15,566 per gram and gaining ₹53 from the previous session. The increase marked a recovery after a flat session on August 16, when 24K gold stood at ₹15,513 per gram.

The latest move comes as gold prices strengthen across Indian markets, influenced by international bullion prices, movements in the rupee against the US dollar, domestic demand, import costs, and global economic developments. According to HDFC Sky, Bangalore's gold market has shown noticeable volatility over the past 10 days, with several sharp movements in gold prices.

The rates of 24K, 22K, and 18K gold stood at ₹15,566, ₹14,270, and ₹11,676 per gram respectively. The estimated cost of buying 10 grams of 22K gold is ₹1,64,619, considering making charges and GST.
