The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has raised gold prices in the country for the 58th time this year. As of today, the price of 22-carat gold has increased by Tk 1,691 per bhori to Tk 2,34,621, including VAT. This new rate is applicable at all jewellery shops across Bangladesh until further notice.

The prices of other types of gold have also been adjusted accordingly. The price of 21-carat gold stands at Tk 2,24,065 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 1,92,398, and traditional-method gold at Tk 1,57,172. Meanwhile, the price of silver has also been increased by Tk 116 per bhori to Tk 5,132, including VAT.

It's worth noting that these prices have been adjusted after considering the overall market situation in the country. BAJUS had last adjusted gold prices on September 12, when it raised the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 1,050 per bhori to Tk 2,32,930, including VAT.
