Bangladesh Secures Additional LNG Shipments from Qatar Energy Trading LLC

The government of Bangladesh has approved the procurement of two additional cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar Energy Trading LLC. The decision was made by the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) in a meeting presided over by Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury.

The LNG will be delivered to Bangladesh on November 6 and November 22, 2026, at a price of JKM minus $0.02 per MMBtu. This is different from the existing long-term contract's pricing terms.

The additional LNG cargoes are part of the government's efforts to ensure a stable supply of energy to meet the country's requirements.
