Beetaloo Basin Gas Production Begins Amid Climate Concerns

Natural gas production has begun in Australia's Beetaloo Basin, one of the country's largest onshore gas reserves. The Shenandoah South Pilot Project (SS2) by Tamboran Resources and Daly Waters Energy has sold its first gas to the Northern Territory.

The Beetaloo Basin spans around 28,000 square kilometers and is capable of producing 430 trillion cubic feet of gas. SS2 is expected to produce 38.8 million cubic feet per day by 2027, providing a stable domestic gas supply to Australia.

Tamboran Resources believes the Beetaloo Basin has the potential to become a major new source of gas supply, delivering long-term benefits for the Northern Territory and playing an important role in Australia's energy security.
