The price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Bhopal has increased to ₹97.50 per kg, up from ₹94.55 just six months ago.

Think Gas, which supplies CNG in the city, raised its prices by ₹1.50 per kg ahead of Raksha Bandhan, a Hindu festival celebrated with great fervor in India.

The price hike has been met with a steady demand for CNG vehicles in Bhopal, with sales increasing by nearly 50% over the past three years.

Despite repeated price hikes, buyers continue to prefer CNG-powered vehicles due to their better mileage and lower running costs compared to petrol- and diesel-powered models.
