Brazil's corn farmers are gearing up for a bumper crop in the upcoming season. According to UkrAgroConsult, total corn production in Brazil may reach 148 million tons, marking a 2.8% increase from the previous season.

The largest gain is expected in first-crop corn acreage, which could expand by 10.7% to 4.54 million hectares. This would result in a record-breaking output of 32.1 million tons, potentially surpassing the highest level in 13 years.

Second-crop corn, or safrinha, is also expected to see an increase in planted area, up by 3.7% to 18.48 million hectares. This could lead to a production output of around 113.2 million tons.
