Brazilian Buyers Seek Ohio Wheat as Global Competition Heats Up
A recent visit by a Brazilian trade team has highlighted the importance of U.S. wheat exports, particularly for Ohio-grown wheat.
The two-day tour, presented by the Ohio Small Grains Marketing Program, aimed to showcase the opportunities of Ohio-grown wheat and build relationships with international buyers.
Wendy Osborn, director of market development at Ohio Corn and Wheat, emphasized the significance of face-to-face conversations in growing demand for U.S. wheat.
She noted that Brazilian buyers are looking for high-quality wheat with reliable transportation, which U.S. wheat can provide despite competition from Russia on price.
