Brent Crude Breaks Above Seven-Week High

Brent crude prices surged to a seven-week high on September 9, reaching $101.04 per barrel at the session's peak.

The increase marked a 3.37% jump from the previous close, with Brent last trading at this level on July 24.

As of 14:10 GMT, Brent had eased slightly to $100.76 per barrel but remained up 2.90% for the day.

In related news, WTI crude futures for delivery the following month rose to $95.76 per barrel, gaining 2.93%.
