Canola Prices Rise, But Harvest May Limit Upside
ICE Canola futures rose on Monday but at a slower pace than the previous Friday. The November contract was within C$20 per tonne of its contract high, according to data from Intercontinental Exchange.
An analyst noted that the upcoming canola harvest may limit the upside in prices. Alberta reported on Friday that most of its canola crop is podding and rated 50% good to excellent, with dryland yields projected at 38 bushels per acre.
Good demand for canola continued, with the Canadian Grain Commission reporting exports of 231,000 tonnes for the first week of the 2026-27 crop year. Domestic use stepped back from 304,600 tonnes to 252,400 tonnes.
