The latest Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) report paints a mixed picture for Canadian crop prices, but one commodity stands out as particularly strong: canola.

According to the report, the average price for No. 1 CWRS wheat is up by $10 a tonne in this most recent report and it's $41 a tonne higher than last year's average price.

The price prediction for feed barley in this crop year has increased by $10 a tonne compared to last month and is more than $20 per tonne above last year's average, primarily due to stronger U.S. corn prices.

However, canola is the real winner in this report, with the AAFC analysis increasing this crop year's predicted price by a whopping $55 a tonne, exceeding last year's average price by more than $60.
