Capstone Copper Heats Up as Canada's Mining Trade Surges
Capstone Copper Corp., a pure-play copper producer, is gaining attention in Canada's mining trade as copper prices remain firm and investor interest builds.
The company reported its second-quarter 2026 results on July 30, with revenue rising to $652 million, up 22% from the same period last year. Net income came in at nearly $102 million, while adjusted EBITDA reached a record high for the seventh consecutive quarter.
Capstone's growth pipeline is centered around its Mantoverde Optimized project in Chile, which is under construction and expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2026. The company has also submitted an environmental permit for a Phase II expansion at its Mantos Blancos mine in Chile.
