Capstone Energy+ Secures Major Order for Remote LNG Facility
Capstone Energy+ has secured a significant order to supply power to a remote natural gas compression plant in Argentina. The company will provide two C1000S gas turbines and one C600S turbine, with an expected total capacity of 2.6 megawatts (MW).
The systems were chosen for their reliability and low-maintenance design, which is crucial for the remote location without existing utility power lines.
Capstone's technology will provide prime power to support critical compression operations at the facility, which is expected to supply natural gas to a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility. The systems are scheduled to be commissioned in August 2027.
Vince Canino, President and CEO of Capstone Energy+, emphasized the growing importance of distributed generation in supporting critical energy infrastructure. He stated that 'energy certainty becomes essential' for operations in remote areas, where traditional grid access is limited.
