Canada is set to showcase its investment opportunities to some of the world's biggest institutional investors at the Prime Minister Mark Carney's Canada Investment Summit in Toronto. A document featuring 167 projects, worth tens of billions of dollars, has been prepared for the summit.

The projects span various sectors, including data centers, advanced manufacturing, liquefied natural gas, ports, and dozens of mines. Minority equity stakes are being offered in companies such as Telesat Corp., Canada's biggest satellite operator. A multibillion-dollar battery plant in Ontario, backed by a Volkswagen AG subsidiary, is also included.

The document highlights the potential for advanced manufacturing with a defense focus, including technology proposals for turbojets for drones and a space launchpad in Nova Scotia. Quantum semiconductor manufacturing in Vancouver is another proposal mentioned. Large data-center projects are also on offer, particularly in Alberta, including a C$14.5 billion data center campus being developed by BW Velora.
