CBOT Soybeans Bounce Back Amid USDA Data Expectations
Soybean futures at the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) saw an uptick on Tuesday, recovering from Monday's losses. This correction comes as the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported that the soybean harvest is at 17% complete, aligning with the five-year average.
The upcoming quarterly stocks data release by the U.S. Department of Agriculture on Wednesday may have contributed to market positioning and activity. Traders expect slightly tighter soybean stocks as of September 1 compared to last year's 325 million bushels.
Corn futures, however, traded mixed with no significant fresh news supporting prices. The U.S. corn harvest was reported at 18% complete, matching the average for this time of year. Condition ratings remained steady at 57% good to excellent.
Wheat futures were also affected by market conditions, with gains in Chicago soft wheat and losses in hard red wheats. The U.S. winter wheat harvest lagged behind the five-year average, coming in at 27% complete.
