Cheniere Energy Secures 22-Year LNG Deal with Petrobras

Cheniere Energy, Inc., a leading liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer in the US, has signed a long-term agreement with Petrobras to supply approximately 0.8 million tonnes per annum of LNG on a free-on-board basis for 22 years.

The deal was announced by Cheniere Marketing, a subsidiary of Cheniere Energy, and is expected to provide commercial support and fixed fee cash flow visibility to underpin further brownfield liquefaction capacity growth.

Cheniere operates two major LNG facilities at Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi on the US Gulf Coast, with a total production capacity of approximately 56 million tonnes per annum of LNG currently in operation. The company has an additional 5 million tonnes per annum of expected production capacity under construction, including debottlenecking opportunities.
