Cheniere Surpasses 5,000th LNG Cargo Milestone, Expands Capacity by 20% with Corpus Christi Stage 3 Completion

Cheniere Energy, Inc., a leading liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer, has reached a significant milestone in its Texas operations. The company announced that it has achieved substantial completion of the Corpus Christi Liquefaction Stage 3 Project (CCL Stage 3), which expands its LNG production capacity by over 20% to approximately 56 million tonnes per annum.

The project was completed ahead of schedule, with Bechtel Energy, Inc., Cheniere's engineering, procurement and construction contractor, turning over care, custody and control of the seventh and last train of CCL Stage 3 to the company on August 28th. This achievement marks a major step forward in Cheniere's goal to increase its supply of secure, reliable, and affordable energy to the world.

Cheniere also celebrated the production and export of its 5,000th LNG cargo, which was loaded onto the Yari LNG carrier and departed Sabine Pass on August 29th en route to Asia. This milestone represents a remarkable achievement for Cheniere, as it has supplied over 340 million tonnes of LNG to markets worldwide since producing its first cargo in 2016.
