Chennai Gold Price Jumps Rs 560 as Silver Prices Rise

Gold prices in Chennai saw a significant increase of Rs 560 per sovereign on September 30, 2026. The current price stands at Rs 1,09,680 per sovereign and Rs 13,710 per gram. This rise comes after the gold price was priced at Rs 1,09,120 per sovereign and Rs 13,640 per gram on September 29.

Meanwhile, silver prices also saw a slight increase of Rs 5 to reach Rs 245 per gram (Rs 2,45,000 per kg). When compared to last year's price on September 30, 2025, gold has seen an increase of Rs 22,800 per sovereign or about 26.24 percent.

The current prices show a significant difference from the previous five days' prices. The 22-carat gold price over the last five days is as follows: September 29, 2026 - Rs 1,09,120 per sovereign | Rs 13,640 per gram; September 28, 2026 - Rs 1,09,320 per sovereign | Rs 13,665 per gram; September 26, 2026 - Rs 1,12,000 per sovereign | Rs 14,000 per gram; September 25, 2026 - Rs 1,12,080 per sovereign | Rs 14,010 per gram; and September 24, 2026 - Rs 1,12,000 per sovereign | Rs 14,000 per gram.
