Chennai Gold Prices Rise by ₹70 on July 25 as Silver Stays Flat

The Madras Jewellers & Diamond Traders Association (MJDTA) has released the latest bullion rates for Chennai on July 25, 2026. Gold prices in the city have increased by ₹70 per gram, while silver prices remain unchanged.

According to the MJDTA, the price of 22-carat gold has risen to ₹13,300 per gram, compared to ₹13,230 on the previous trading day. Similarly, the price of 18-carat gold has increased to ₹11,115 per gram, up from ₹11,045.

The increase in gold prices reflects fluctuations in domestic and international bullion markets. Gold rates are influenced by various factors, including global gold prices, US dollar movements, inflation expectations, central bank interest rate decisions, geopolitical developments, and investor demand for safe-haven assets.
