Chicago Board of Trade Veteran Bob Arenson Passes Away at 89

Robert Alan 'Bob' Arenson, a seasoned businessman and veteran of the Chicago Board of Trade, has passed away at the age of 89. Born on an unspecified date, Bob spent most of his life in Northbrook, Evanston, Lincolnwood, and Chicago, where he worked in various roles including trading wheat futures for 35 years.

Bob's family was at the center of his life, with his wife Carole being his 'best friend' for an incredible 59 years. Together they had three sons: Michael (Susie), Gregg (Caron), and Mark (Suzy). His grandchildren were also very important to him, with eight of them mentioned by name.

Besides his family life, Bob was a devoted member of the community. He coached in the Lincolnwood Little League for 15 years and had a passion for golf and needlepoint.
