China Silver Group Suffers Interim Loss on Revenue Slump
China Silver Group Limited reported an interim loss for the six months to June 30, 2026. The company's revenue plummeted by 75.7% year-on-year to RMB508.7 million, resulting in a net loss of RMB24.1 million attributable to shareholders.
This represents a sharp reversal from the previous interim profit of RMB54.9 million. Management attributed the decline primarily to weaker demand for silver ingots due to higher silver prices and substantial share-based payment expenses.
However, the manufacturing segment showed some resilience, with gross profit and margin improving significantly due to sales of low-cost silver inventories.
