China Surpasses 100 Million Tons in Wheat Procurement Ahead of Autumn Harvest

China has wrapped up its summer grain procurement and is now preparing for its autumn season. According to the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, the country's wheat procurement has already exceeded 100 million tons.

To protect farmers' interests, the government has activated the minimum purchase price program for wheat, allowing Sinograin to buy wheat at supported prices without a volume cap. This move is part of China's efforts to ensure a smooth autumn grain purchasing season.

This year's autumn grain crop is expected to be harvested from late September through April next year, accounting for approximately three-quarters of the country's total annual grain purchases. To facilitate this process, grain dryers and smart grain-handling equipment have been included in subsidies.
