Cincinnati Gas Prices Surge to $4.59 Amid Saudi Pipeline Attack

Gas prices in Cincinnati have skyrocketed to $4.59 per gallon, the highest seen since May's Iran War-related oil price surge.

The latest spike is attributed primarily to a weekend attack and shutdown of a major pipeline in Saudi Arabia, as well as Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil facilities.

Janet Harrah, an economist at Northern Kentucky University's Haile College of Business, states that roughly 50% of what drivers pay at the pump reflects the price of crude oil, with the rest being transportation costs from refinery to gas station.
