Commodity Prices Plummet on Chicago Board of Trade

The Chicago Board of Trade saw a decline in futures prices for various commodities on Monday, July 27, 2026. Corn futures fell by $13 at $4.51 for September and $14 at $4.73 for December. Soybean futures dropped by $42 at $11.97 for September and $42 at $12.11 for November. Wheat futures declined by $20 at $6.58 for September and $19 at $6.76 for December.

Cattle futures also saw a downturn, with live cattle falling by $420 at $218.30 for October and $537 at $216.90 for December. Feeder cattle dropped by $1017 at $331.27 for September and $1075 at $325.25 for October.

The prices of corn and soybeans from The Andersons at Hensall reflected a similar decline, with 2026 crop corn down $13 at $6.14/BU and 2027 crop corn down $8 at $5.99/BU. The same trend was observed in the prices reported by Snobelen Farms.

The U-S CME price for Ontario Pork reports a rise of $0.49 from the previous day, standing at $97.67 U-S per hundredweight, dressed weight.
