Copper Prices Climb on Improved Chinese Factory Activity
Copper prices rose on Wednesday as data showed Chinese factory activity returned to growth in September.
Benchmark three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange increased by 0.23% to $14,471 a metric ton by 0330 GMT.
The most-traded November copper contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange gained 0.21% to 109,530 yuan ($16,340.20) a ton.
China's official manufacturing purchasing managers' index rose to 50.1 in September from 49.8 in August, while a private RatingDog survey showed factory activity expanded at a faster pace with its PMI measuring 52.1, a five-month high.
