Corn Falls as Export Sales Disappoint

Corn futures are trading lower on Thursday, with losses of 2 to 3.5 cents across the front months.

The national average Cash Corn price has dropped by 1.75 cents to $4.82.25.

A wet pattern is expected in the central third of the country over the next seven days, with significant rainfall predicted for Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas.

US corn export sales data released Thursday showed a lower-than-expected 838,328 MT of corn sold in the week ending September 17. This was less than half of the same period last year and 18.3% below the previous week's numbers.
