Corn futures closed Wednesday's session with losses of 1 ½ to 2 ¼ cents across the board, despite some late-session strength.

The CmdtyView national average Cash Corn price fell by 1.5 cents to $4.89.

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported ethanol production at 1.099 million barrels per day for the week of September 4, remaining steady with the previous week's figure.

However, this is still 4.17% above the same week last year, and stocks saw a 33,000 barrel increase to 25.22 million barrels, which is 11.58% higher than the same period in 2022.
