Corn Futures Rise as Soybean Prices Fall Amid Market Shift
Closing markets for Monday, August 24, saw significant changes in commodity prices on the Chicago Board of Trade. Corn futures experienced an upward trend, with September trading at 4.91 and December at 5.15 per bushel. Soybean futures declined, with September down 8 cents at 12.17 and November down 14 cents at 12.25 per bushel.
Wheat futures also saw a rise, with September up 1 cent at 6.82 and December up 1 cent at 7.00 per bushel. Live cattle futures fell, with October down $0.43 at $213.62 and December down $0.43 at $214.20 per hundredweight.
The Ontario Pork Reports provided the U-S CME price, which was $92.92 per hundredweight, dressed weight, a decline of $0.67 from the previous day. The 100% formula price also decreased to $231.50 per hundred kilograms, dressed weight, down $2.11.
