Corn Market Remains Calm Ahead of Key Data Releases
Corn prices are stable on Tuesday morning as traders await key data releases. Futures closed Monday with contracts down by three-quarters of a cent to one penny across the board.
The USDA reported a private export sale of 105,000 MT of corn to unknown destinations for the 2026/27 marketing year.
Crop Progress showed that 94% of US corn is silking and 61% in the dough stage as of August 9. This is six percentage points ahead of normal, but the crop is also 16% dented.
The Export Inspections report revealed shipments of 1.74 MMT (68.5 mbu) in the week of August 6, up 14.29% from last year but below the prior week's level.
