Costco has raised the price of its Kirkland Signature full-synthetic motor oil and imposed purchase limits on shoppers. The new five-quart two-pack now costs around $58, up from approximately $30 last year.

The warehouse store has also placed a limit on how much consumers can buy, restricting purchases to two boxes per week for the 5-quart two-packs.

Costco is not the only retailer with purchase limits; it's also limiting the 1-quart six-packs of Mobil 1 full-synthetic motor oil to five per membership. The price of this product is listed at about $44.
