Costco Raises Price of Kirkland Motor Oil Amid Ongoing Global Supply Chain Issues

Costco has raised the price of its exclusive Kirkland Signature full-synthetic motor oil, selling it for around $58 per two-pack. This is a significant increase from last year's price of approximately $30.

The wholesale club operator is also limiting purchases to two boxes per week for this item. Additionally, Costco is restricting sales of Mobil 1's full-synthetic motor oil 1-quart six pack to five units per membership, which sells for about $44.

The price hike and purchase limits come as the global demand for diesel and gasoline continues to drive up oil prices due to ongoing tension in the Middle East. The Brent crude price has jumped above $109 per barrel, with Saudi Arabia's pipeline disruptions adding to the supply chain issues.
