Crude Oil Price Plunges $1.19 as Natural Gas Sees Slight Uptick

The latest daily oil price update from Odessa American indicates a decrease in crude oil prices. As of September 22, 2026, the price of crude oil stands at $94.59 per barrel, marking a drop of $1.19 from previous records. This decline is reflected in the Plains WTI Posting, which also saw a reduction to $91.07.

Natural gas prices, however, experienced an increase of 4.5% to $2.965 per unit. The Nymex MTD AVG for crude oil averaged at $96.9541 over the month-to-date period.

The gasoline market also saw a slight uptick in price, rising by 0.5% to $3.4875 per gallon. Spreads between October and November contracts expanded by 4.07 points, while spreads between November and December contracts increased by 2.54 points.
