Crude Oil Prices Surge on Rejected Trump Proposal
Global crude oil prices have risen by more than one percent at the start of trading in Asia. On September 28, 2026, Brent crude prices surged to $105.64 per barrel after a significant increase.
The rise in Brent crude prices comes after U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to end the war in Iran and reopen the Strait of Hormuz was rejected.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also gained more than half a percent, reaching $93.11 per barrel.
