Crude Price Boost Sends Maurel & Prom Net Income Soaring
Maurel & Prom, a French oil producer, reported a significant surge in its half-year net income to $191 million, a 78% increase from the same period last year. The company's financial performance was driven by higher crude prices, which boosted profitability.
The group's working-interest production averaged 37,890 barrels of oil equivalent per day in the first half of 2026, a modest 1% increase over the same period in 2025. Free cash flow rose 21% year-on-year to $77 million.
Maurel & Prom has also resumed crude oil sales from Venezuela after receiving a license to operate there in February. The company expects crude exports from Venezuela to normalize in the second half of 2026, which should aid future stability and growth.
