Gold Prices Extend Gains for Second Consecutive Day

Gold prices continued their upward trend in both global and local markets on Thursday, marking a second consecutive day of gains. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola rose by Rs11,300 to Rs449,236.

The international market also saw a surge in gold prices, with a $113 increase to $4,268 per ounce. This followed Wednesday's jump in local gold prices, where 24-karat gold jumped Rs10,000 per tola to Rs437,936.

Silver prices also rose in the local market, increasing by Rs35 to Rs6,659 per tola and Rs30 to Rs5,709 for 10 grams of silver. The price movements reflect gains seen in the international bullion market.
