Damietta Port Handles Record 24-Hour Cargo Volume

Damietta Port in Egypt experienced high maritime traffic over the past 24 hours, with 10 vessels arriving and 16 departing. The port handled a significant amount of cargo, including 39,659 tonnes of imports and 11,790 tonnes of exports.

The import shipments included corn (15,400 tonnes), scrap metal (8,500 tonnes), iron (13,539 tonnes), and plywood (2,220 tonnes). Exports consisted mainly of urea (5,200 tonnes) and assorted goods (2,400 tonnes).

Container traffic was also notable, with 891 TEUs of exports and only 155 TEUs of imports. Transit container traffic reached 2,186 TEUs.
