The European Energy Exchange (EEX) is expanding its short-term gas trading offering with the introduction of daily natural gas futures contracts across four major European hubs. These new contracts will be launched on EEX's T7 futures trading platform on November 23, 2026.

The Dutch TTF, German THE, Austrian CEGH VTP, and French PEG hubs will be covered by the daily maturity contracts, allowing market participants to take positions on natural gas prices with greater granularity than existing contracts. A new Day-Month spread functionality will also create additional opportunities for relative-value trading.

EEX's chief commercial officer, Steffen Köhler, stated that the contracts will complement the exchange's existing physical and financial natural gas futures, enabling participants to implement more targeted trading strategies.
